Cris Snyder was born in Los Angeles, Ca. and has been playing Bass professionally for over 20 years. At the early age of 15 Cris was doing session work and playing live with members of: The tubes, Montrose, Journey and YnT, often having to wait outside the venue because of his young age. In 1989 Cris was chosen and had the honor to study for over a year under legendary Bass player "Tom Fowler" (Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention and The Fowler Brothers). Cris then started taking advantage of the scene around him and began recording in such studios as: MCA Recording studios, Disney Recording & Productions, The Hit Pit and Sunset Studios. Cris also fell into the live scene playing such venues as: The Whiskey, The Roxy, The Troubadour, The Hollywood Bowl, House Of Blues, The Viper Room, The Rainbow, to name a few.
Moving to the Bay Area in the mid 90's Cris quickly gained a reputation for being a hot young bass player and has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many of music's greatest performers including- Sammy Hagar, Greg Kihn, Ronnie Montrose, Greg Allman, Jefferson Starship, Thin Lizzy, Pat Travers, April Wine, Willy Nelson, Bo Didly…plus so many more. Cris's realistic almost uncanny portrayal of Leon Wilkeson in the west coast Second Helping tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd is so amazing that it caught the attention of Ted Patton, Bob Burns, and Mike Estes. Ted Patton immediately hired Cris to play with The Classic Southern Rockers. "To play with a band with so much history and talent is truly an honor for me".
